Sure, there's a small gap in the middle and along the floor. But combined with the near-shoulder-level height of each suite, it's more privacy than you could possibly need.

The ANA business class lounge offers two buffets at either end of the lounge, as well as a noodle bar where dishes are cooked on demand to your specification.

There are two lights on either side of the seat for reading, plus one near the TV that's focused on the tray table and two above the seat for general illumination.

But the weakest of all was the headphones, which were fairly flimsy here and uncomfortable, and offered next-to-pelo noise cancellation. If you've got a go-to pair of headphones, you'll want to pack them for your ANA business class flight.

Throughout the flight, small bites were available, ranging from the corn soup as mentioned above to Japanese udon noodles garnished with mixed vegetable and shrimp tempura. One highlight is ANA's curry and steamed rice.

You can adjust your seat from a panel in the side console, and it's incredibly customizable. Not only is there a slider at the top to recline or sit back up to your heart's content in addition to some preset buttons for lie-flat, upright, and dining, but you can also move your seat forward and backward – perfect for when you need to slide out in the middle of meal service. That's something far too many airlines miss.
